I used the power wires that came with the supplied harness to the battery, then added another 12v wire separate and ran it back to the spot on the harness on the passenger side (for the switch). This extra wire came off my blue sea fuse box and is 12v constant.
The harness they include can...
King does say that it can happen. Some people have had the shock body rotate with the collar when trying to adjust them...if that happens I'd take them off to adjust I guess. May just have to try first and see what happens. The shock body spinning shouldn't cause a leak though. The seals are...
Wall mount compressor is the safest. That being said I've adjusted my Kings on the truck without issue. Jack the truck up so the tire is off the ground, get a larger punch and re-profile it to fit into the collar holes snugly, then used a large open ended wrench as leverage to move the punch...
I'm loving my current Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Nice and quiet on the road but work well offroad. Falken Wildpeaks are very highly regarded, maybe another to look at.
Some AT tires like K02's are available in load C instead of load E and will weigh less...might be a better option for someone who...
Love mine too, it's awesome. I'll just add that I swapped to 67 designs mounts as my Ram mounts would come loose in the heat. Think the coating on the balls that Ram uses just gets soft when hot. 67 designs stuff is rock solid.
You should mount them wherever you want to mount them based on where you want the additional light, not where someone on the internet tells you they "think" you should.
One thing that has helped with balancing for me is to get the shop to line up the heavy spot on the tire with the valve stem. If they are marked anyway.
Lots of geared 5th gens out there so that shop doesn't know what they are talking about. As mentioned, ECGS is the way to go. I went the built route where they ship you complete third member and clamshell then you send your stock one's back to them to get the core deposit back. I chose 4.56...
I have RCI skids with the icon sway bar relocation brackets. No issues with the skids at all. Still had to trim my radiator bracket support to keep it from rubbing but has nothing to do with the skid.
I have RCI's full skid package front, mid, transfer, and fuel. Happy with all of them...
At first I did the clip on mounts, one went on the air vent and the other along the console, I believe from Pro Clip. They worked but were less than ideal. The phone mount blocked the air vent which sucked, and the console mount left my tablet all in the way of getting to the 4wd shifter, etc...
Not sure if this will help you or not but I have an SSO bumper that they told me was for the stock skid but what I got from them was a bumper for the TRD pro skid. To make up the difference between the bumper and the RCI front skid, I used the RCI filler plate and it worked great. I had to use...
Heck I bought a "new" set of Baja designs S2 pro's once from Amazon and someone had swapped them for some chinese rock lights. Amazon got it squared away but still was annoying experience.
Yeah, I'd get the boot kit. It comes with everything you need except a pair of CV Boot pliers. I'd get those off amazon and not at the local auto parts store (the one's they sell suck and break easily). Aside from that it's a messy but straight forward procedure.
I believe that Southeast...
