I went with the Smittybilt 10k synthetic rope. I mounted the control box on the side. You're going to have to shave down the hood latch bar and bend the a/c condenser line to fit the bumper. I can post a photo of what that will look like. I mounted a 30" Rigid light bar, it fit perfectly...
I haven’t posted a follow up to my install because I have been experiencing the same issues as everyone else. I had to cut and modify the hood latch bar in order to mount the bumper with a smittybilt 10k synthetic rope winch. No big deal, but I did some damage to my plastic bumper in the process...
Were you able to get it to line up better? I actually like the look of the Venture bumper and just ordered the same one. We'll see if I run into any of the same issues upon install.
