Your right it can't. But if you look at what the scan tool is indicating and see roughly what rpm and boost you are at, you can figure it out if you have an idea how much retard is dialed in in the URD map at this boost and rpm. Then you subtract that from what the scan tool is indicating. So...

A positive fuel trim means your lean as would a vacuum leak. Fuel trims should be accurate as long as you're not in the regions that the URD unit is faking out the ECU to add fuel in closed loop. This is what the afr calibrator does. Do you have one of these?

I did the same exact thing. Had the orientations of the TB gasket incorrect. Man was I happy when I found out that was the only thing wrong.

You need to retard the timing. Have you done any tuning with the timing? This is really the only way to eliminate the ping. I get pinging before boost as well and had to pull some timing to get rid of it.
