I got the grey one so we'll see then. I just got through searching a few threads here and each one says something different.

Well i got worried so I called and changed my order to the grey remote. I hope it the right one.

I have a port installed RS3000. See my point exactly. The first two post contradict each other. Who is correct? There was another post here lastnight where the guy said 3rd gen 4runners have never had grey remotes but he deleted his post.

I'm leaning towards the 2" I just don't want to the wheels/tires to look too small. From the research I've done anything over a 2" body lift calls for more modification than i'd like to do.

1.5" Bodylift for 98 2wd with 265/65r18 on 18x9 TRD wheels? Looking to install a body lift on my wifes stock 1998 4Runner 2wd SR5. It currently has 15" Enkies with 235/75r15 tires. I just picked up a nice set of 18x9 BBS TRD wheels with 265/65r18 BFG All Terrains which are pretty much the same...

That's gotta be it. That would explain the absence of a CEL and the fact that it runs decent but lacks power. Well, I'll know tomorrow.

Yep, that's what I thought. I was going to pull the cover tonight but I'm losing light. I'll pull it tomorrow and spin the crank around approx twice and I should get the marks to line up?

OK, checked my timing again via a Timing light on #1 plug wire: Jumped DLC the timing is 0 deg TDC and not jumped is 4 deg ATDC. It does advance when the throttle is applied. This means It's approx 8-12 deg off of the base timing and 7 deg off the ECM controlled timing. Could this be any other...

I don't know, I bought it about 11k after it was replaced by the dealer. I think it may have jumped a tooth or two. Can the ECM control the base timing? If so, that might be the problem.

You're right, It was the TE1 and E1. I copied the ones I posted from the wrong FSM. Yes I used a timing light and connected the two terminals and my timing is at right at 0 degrees BTDC (8-12 spec). With the terminals disconnected It was between -2 to +2 BTDC (3-19 spec)

I just checked my base timing with a paperclip jumper between TC and CG terminals on the DLC3 port. It's at 0 degrees BTDC. It should be at 8-12 degrees.
