    XM and Scion

2K34R I have the same set-up for XM w/the Scion that you. It rocks! I am having a challenge with my SAT Antenna that it shorts out for a while after I am driving in the rain or after I wash the truck and not dry off the roof top unit thoroughly. What are the ratings on the Scion HU's?

I found the Scion HU mod great for being able to add the XM Satellite Radio and having a clean integrated system with keeping the functionality of the steering wheel audio/tuner controls. KD

    Scion HU

...on adding XM to the T1804 HU, could the Terk XM Direct(XMD1000) Universal Sat unit($50) be used in place of the Toyota XM reciever($400)? and/or would a converter ie: the PIE TOY03-AUX be neccessary for this set-up? Thanks, KD
