    5th Gen Calipers

I'm going back to 4th Gen brake calipers. This go around 5th Gen Eclipse (NAPA - Lifetime warranty) calipers aren't in stock. I see RockAuto now as 4th Gen A1Cardone's with 'exclusive weatherproof coasting' and a 10 year, 100K mile warranty. If anyone is interested, it's Model .. 19P2767...

Pics of XenonKit and Mats *56K beware*

2017 update. HID bulbs were working fine, but in 2016 I went back to stock bulbs from Amazon. No reason specificially.

    Brake upgrade

You can give the 5th Gen rotors and calipers a go. I'm done with stuck calipers, 4 in over 13 years. I used the existing centric rotors I had for my 4th Gen models and had them cut recently. Going better doesn't mean moving away from OEM. My Hawk SUV pads squealed like a pig, dusted up...

    Brake upgrade?

I have the Hawk LTS. They're squealing on a slow stop. In my opinion, i'd go back to stock pads the next go around.

    Michelin's Galore /Choices, choices ?

There's also a brand new Michelin radial tire out in the wild. Seems based off of the cross terrain from the side tread patternand looks sipped down the middle almost like a winter tire. It might be for light trucks, but give tirerack a call as I saw it in their catalog.

Michelin LXT M/S2 or (store brand) X LT2

Can you spot the differences between these two tires? The one on the left is a 265/65/17 LT2 x-Radial and the one on the right is the M/S2. The LT2, it looks like, is not limited to a 'store brand' per se, but maybe a costco specific brand?!

VSC, ABS, TRAC lights on, but NO CEL

It may be that an abs sensor wire is not communicating. Checking for continuity on the sensor may help using a multimeter. There's 3; front left, front right and rear.

Ignition Coil Bolt Snapped, EZ Out broke

How much does a new coil, 6 new bolts (I'd change them all after this event), and a bolt extractor kit run these days? I'd cannibalize the one coil for the sake of hoping this would be a once and done type of job.

rust on 2004 I may purchase

Have it viewed while it's on a lift. You won't see much with these images. Also, check for exhaust leaks. This is a known problem I have with my 2004 as I used it quite a bit on the beach.

    WeatherTech Side Window Deflectors

Adhesion over time will fade from the double sided sticky tape. If you leave your SUV outdoors, dust and dirt accumulate making washing a bit difficult. That same dirt ends up etching the top of the glass as in-channel visors weren't originally designed when windows are rolled up. I would get...

    WeatherTech vs Husky Liners

Had the Husky Liners for 5+ Years. Didn't like their aesthetics at first but their design has proven to be effective in cupping all the crap that's fallen on them. i.e. French fries, mud, crud, sand, snow etc. Easy to remove, easy to thwack and put back in. A quick rinse and your back in...

    Engaging 4wd on the fly

I usually drop to neutral while coasting in order to engage 4H. This prevents most clunking. Caveat, only performed on straight roads of course.
