Kingofthehill's Build and Maintenance log, Project "Faux Pro"

If I can find a similar platform rack that holds 2 bikes I would go for it. The thing I dont like about the 1up is that it does not use a hitch pin. I just dont trust their method of attaching the rack to your hitch. Plus I have a fancy hitch pin that is keyed to my 4runner keys.

Kingofthehill's Build and Maintenance log, Project "Faux Pro"

I haven't really done much to my 4runner lately other than fix 2 flat tires. I had a tire weight go through one of my tires and then 2 weeks later a roofing screw went through another. I was surprised that the tire that the tire weight went through was able to be patched but it is holding air. I...

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Got a second punctured tire. I got one a few weeks back caused by a lead tire weight and Now this one was caused by a roofing screw. I was on my way to the local trails to ride my MTB when I noticed. Was at home luckily and was able to get it changed to my spare if a few minutes. I have been...

Offroad Trails near Broken Bow Lake

That probably was me. I didn't know Gaia automatically made my GPS tracks public, I thought I had to do that manually.

What did you do with your 4runner today?

I got a flat tire today. Good thing I sprung for the full size matching spare. Looks like scrap metal, right in the center of my tread. Hopefully it can be patched.

I have a spider living in my 4runner

Lol "Swipter's 4runner is in actual fire" "Swipter tries to claim insurance."\ "His rep finds this thread and thinks he is committing insurance fraud." On a side note I wouldn't use raid. you will have to inhale fumes. I would just try to find said spider and kill it. If it is just one...

Can I put the rear spoiler on a car that had no spoiler?

I want to add a spoiler but I do not want to drill. I am checking craigslist and waiting patiently for a hatch with a spoiler in black to be posted for sale.

Cheap coolers that make ice last!

I used my Rtic cooler for the first time. I put one bag 10 lb of ice in with prechilled drinks on a Friday night. It sat inside my house that night. In the morning I drained of a little ice melt and added a 2nd 10 lb bag of ice. After that it spent its time in the back of my 4runner or outside...

Who is your favorite online Toyota parts seller?

I added items to cart once from mcgeorge and printed it out and my local dealer price matched it. Saved me on shipping :guitar2: , had to pay sales tax though.

Synthetic oil: how long do you go between changes?

I do 10,000 mile OCI with mobil one EP synthetic. I also use their filter. I send samples to blackstone and my oil reports show that I have more life left still. Oil has gotten a lot better and you can go longer when taking the proper precautions like using a quality filter that will last as...

finding legal trails in your area

I usually look for national forest lands. Typically there are always some decent trails in the local National forest. Gaia GPS is a good paid app for finding trails and this is a good webpage for finding trails in the nationa forests: Interactive Visitor Map I would also recommend talking to...
