Given the results here it looks like fluid film washes off fairly easily. Especially if you plan to use an undercarriage pressure washer attachment for removing salt. My line of thinking is to apply fluid film to the inside of the frame only in the fall, where it will protect but not be washed...

I purchases the liquid tester pen as mentioned by the OP. I tried it on my 992k mile 2016 4runner (never had brake fluid changed) and it did not register anything above 0%. Is this to be expected or is this pen broken?
