Fuel Tank Relocation (and new Rear Bumper design)

Ask away, over on the thread. I need to update it with photos of the more recent stuff including a dog bed type thing for the backseat but I’m not good at it so I haven’t.

Fuel Tank Relocation (and new Rear Bumper design)

I didn’t, was more than I wanted to spend. I snagged a second filler neck from the junkyard and modified it to mate into the original with a divider just below the cap threads. Point the nozzle back for one tank and forward for the other. Everything is t’d together including evap so it still...

Anyone changed transfer case output bearings?

I sure was, thank you. I got lucky I didn’t have to go that far.

Anyone changed transfer case output bearings?

Huge thankyou for that link. eimkeith was right. I figured it was either the staked nut or I was doing a t-case r&r as quickly as possible. Limped home drafting semis and I got lucky, no damage was done. Whoever rebuilt this (I got it from a junkyard but it’s definitely been rebuilt) didn’t...

Thanks, I do have an extra. Stupid expensive lesson of never operate off of someone else’s diagnosis. Have a whole 340 and case combined. Bummer about having to do that. It’s going to be a long night. Gotta figure out why it happened too.

Anyone changed transfer case output bearings?

Desperately Looking for an answer to this. I know it’s an old thread but I don’t want to get a ruler to the knuckles for making a new one. “Should use the search function!!!!” Well I did, it’s unanswered. In a situation where I developed a wicked vibration on my way out to work about 70mi from...

everything is really an option. I have both tanks and have for a while now. Ive installed 2 of them, one for a friend used manual valves to switch tanks and mine is electronic and can be done on the fly. Also have mine set up to fill either tank from the factory fuel door.

Sounds to me like youre running a very similar setup to what I have. Full gate, 35" spare, eimkeith plate rear bumper, pck, 34" lower links, but also have the 20 gal tank setup in addition to the factory tank, and 1/8" skid plates for both. I currently have LC 8 wraps in the rear but I've been...

It’s doable. Did it in a friends: 33s open/locked some jerry cans and a hi-lift. Of course bumpers plates and sliders too. Started 7am on the south sat morning and off Sunday afternoon.

Well damn, that would have made my life simpler and I probably would have done that if I had come across it. I think even after revision two I’m still cheaper. But if this doesn’t work then I’m screwed.

Exactly where I first noticed it. Also... my cup doesn’t cut it. So i invested in a Holley hydramat had plans to put that in this past weekend but the reality of finding weak links while off-roading struck on Friday. I’ll add pictures of that later.
