    Bugs & Paint

Re: Re: lovebugs It works, although I've never used it for this purpose. I've used it, seen it most used, to keep rubber from sticking to the rear quarter panels at the track... Honestly it's more a PITA than anything (I stopped using it), just keep a nice coat of wax/sealant/polish on it...

    Preferred "Bug Deflector"

A 3M clear 'bra' will fix that problem. Just google for a local dealer.

    ***For Sale***WeatherTech Vent Shades

Nope, still on my work bench and no they do not actually require tape for installation, they are held in via friction. The beauty of the in-channel design. They just snap into place!

    Nail on my tire

I'm confused, don't you have a full sized spare? The difference of 11k miles between tires is a small small difference. I'd just replace the spare and keep rolling. You may have to swap the tires/rims (ie purchase a new spare, put it on the spare rim and put the old spare tire on the daily...

    Preferred "Bug Deflector"

I like the US Toyota OEM version the best. The Canadian version is nice, but I honestly don't like the looks of it or of any of the others on the market and cleaning underneath it, would be a nightmare. The OEM version is VERY well made, doesn't wiggle in the slightest, which surprised me as...

    Suprised after 1st oil change

They probably wanted to hide the fact they took it out for a joyride and beat the hell out of it. This is EXACTLY what happened to my wife, the first and last time it went to the dealership. Except they weren't smart enough to zero out all the data, we got it back with 12 miles added to the...

    OBX Sport Pedals

They actually do provide better traction when it's sloppy outside. I'm quite pleased with them.

    Rain Deflectors

Click the link in my sig and you can see the WeatherTechs on my Wife's rig. WeatherTech is by far the most highly rated vent visors. Toyota does not make their own, dealerships will carry or order Auto Vent Shades though, I checked before purchasing these. I loved the Weathertech's (the look...

    Emblem Removal??

I just pulled mine off on a warm day. I tried the dental floss method at first, but was it was SLOOOW going -- damned floss kept breaking, so I just started using my fingers, now that worked like a charm. Once I started using my fingers, it took 15 minutes to have the entire vehicle...

    Dremel Tool My Rims???????

Not on the rims, but I've been forced to use the dremel w/a wire brush attachment to remove the carbon build up on her Borla tail pipes...works like a charm...of course I nag her to detail the tips more often, I'd rather not make it a habit of using a wire brush...

    White Lettering on Mud-Flaps

I don't know about mud flaps, but I used basic paint pens, which can be found at any craft store, to fill in the lettering/logo on the 4Runners trailer receiver cover. It's been a year now, still looks as good as the day I painted it. I chose a silver color that nearly matches the 4Runner's...
