wtf I never said anything about putting a dually axle in haha just to swap in wheel cylinders of a larger model, if possible. And I already have an e-locker. I'll just go chat with the guys at the local auto parts store and have em mic' different wheel cylinders. I'll update if anything...
Better braking. Such as why you'd upgrade to tundra calipers and rotors... I know it's not toyota, but when my buddy did the ones on his F350, the dually wheel cylinders were almost twice as big and bolted right in. And that thing stops like a miata now lol
Does anybody know if different wheel cylinders, like tundras, will work on our 4Runners? My buddy upgraded his on his F-350 by using dually wheel cylinders on his SRW, which has me wondering of I can do the same type of upgrade.
I need to get em before May 1st and everyone is on back order. Unless anyone knows of somewhere that has em in stock. I've called everyone that pops up on google when I type in 112-620 or 892-620. Yes I posted in the WTB, just trying to heighten my chances. Thanks
I'm looking to see if anyone might have a set of the Toytec/Eibach 112-620 spring for the front of my 97 4Runner. Everyone is on back order til the end of April and I need em May 1st for a wheeling trip! Post or Pm me! Thanks!
Shop around on tirerack.com. That'll at least give you an idea of what you can get in your price range. A good all terrain would be the ticket with what you say you'll be using your vehicle for.
3rd gen uses R&P.
On another note, somebody on here recently mentioned the control arm bushings being the culprit for his wandering issue. Mine does it a bit. Poly rack bushings helped a lot. I ordered poly control arm bushings so I'll definitely post up once I receive and install them if that...
I used a fine bristle wire wheel to clean the wheels of any dirt or loose particles. Then I used acetone to clean any oil or impurities off. I just used 1" blue painters tape to mask off the machined surfaces. One good coat of self etching primer, then 3 light coats of paint with about 10 min in...
If you have a rear axle seal go out, the diff oil goes right to the brakes. I'd check the passenger side drum and see if there's any oil or grime in there. Mine did this to me and pulled to one side. Then the other side went out shortly thereafter and now it brakes straight again haha
