I have a 1997 4x4 manual sr5 with hoodscoop 170k clean title. Clean with no modifications or rust except front bumper (I have the original, put the aftermarket on because classmates were wrecking their cars on deer and I wanted something with a little meat on it.) Located in WA state.

Removed all of the half taps and checked wiring. Finally got the engine to run on enough cylinders to throw codes P0340 and P1300. Checked Cam sensor ohm again and pulled on ignitor wiring to see if anything was loose. I will check wiring between ignitor and ecm, think I saw a test procedure...

1997 sr5 v6. No black box under the drivers seat. There was some viper aftermarket system that was half cut out when I bought the car and I removed the rest once I bought it. I will scan the car tomorrow.

Fuel pump has power for about a second after the engine dies, checked with diode on positive lead on fuel pump plug. Spark plugs are dark black and wet when pulled so assuming its cutting spark. Is there a safety switch somewhere in an event there was an accident that's stopping it from running...

1997 4runner will start, stumble for a few seconds, and die. Give it gas while stumbling, dies. Things done: Compression test: 165-170 psi New NKG double ground plugs New wires New coils Checked and double checked wiring, plugged in correctly. Injectors were sent out and rebuilt New fuel...

E range tires if you do alot of offroading. Learned my lesson when I lost traction on some loose shale and lost three tires. It was quite the expedition. Running ST MAXX and loving it. Yes it its a little harsh but for me makes all the sense in the world. And nobody runs them at the max limits plss

247 on mine, 299 on my friends. If I could keep the mpg in the 20's I wouldn't hesitate to dd it.

I have a deal on a Landcruiser ARB bumper and wondering how much work it would take to mount it on my 4runner. I looked at the frame rail spacing and it looks almost similar. Has anyone tried it before?

Welp great new: Rear o2 sensor failed after 2k miles. New one incoming and I'm hoping mpg improves. Been avg 16.5 highway @70 and 14.5 City.

4x4 with diff locker.

Plenum, heads, TB, all cleaned when I rebuilt the engine. Ill clean the MAF again, why not right? Last mpgs: MPG 80hw/20city ave 13.86 mpg MPG towing 90hw/10 backroads 15.8 mpg ^^^^Doesn't make any sense to me^^^^ ECT is always on, OD was off when towing, mind you the boat and trailer weigh...

It's worse when I drive empty and I have a light foot. Mostly city driving as well. Something isnt adding up here. I had a GX 470 and it was too tippy for my liking. That v8 sucked fuel like this v6 lol. Sold it and bought a Navigator and haven't looked back.
