Some bastard rats chewed through my abs sensor wire a few months ago and all those same lights stayed lit. Not being able to shift out of P is different though. I was still able to drive mine. $250 to repair the wire at Toyota of Dallas.

I've never been able to find an official document that specifically mentions the K-trail. I think you're right though. Everything I've read leads me to believe that the trail itself is public while everything immediately North and South is not. K-trail sees enough traffic from people like us...
