I just bought a 2019 SR5 Premium (with the extra row of seating, mind you) used for $32.5k. Had 15k miles on it. Your prices are a little spooky. You might want to think about buying something farther away and driving it home. Cheers!

This. They seem to be putting band-aids on a nicked artery. Contact corporate and tell them to buy it back (original price) or a new replacment, or that you are filing a lemon law claim. Don't need a lawyer for that. Your dealer kinda sucks, methinks. Corporate will hopefully be better.

How do they handle on the road? Though I'm a wannabe postman, that lion's share of my driving will be on pavement. And how noisy are they on highways? Just curious, it isn't a deal breaker.

How much do these get in the way of loading/unloading things out of the back? Someone already mentioned powdercoating it red to keep their shins safer - it strikes me (no pun intended) that it might be more inconvenient than not?

Yikes, forgot to add. What about sizes? I'm not doing any suspension work (for the foreseeable future, anyway), but I'd like to maximize traction. Is there a recommended wheel size and tire size you could share, or should I stick with stock wheels and tire size?
