You may want to have them check the sensors along the exhaust system. WHen I had this problem with my old 4th gen 4Runner a simple little sensor had come loose along the exhaust line, and this triggered the whole system to go off. Simply tightening it solved the problem.

I paid about $1400 for the 8 year/125,000 mile platinum warranty from Aubrey Alexander Toyota in PA. They quoted me about $2500 but I referred them to this thread and 10 min later they called back with the above price.

I haven't seen anything about getting through the firewall on a 5th generation, any help/photos on that? Also any idea on how to remove the center storage console between the seats? Thanks
