Just Rode in a Wrangler Unlimited again...

I have about 10k invested in my 12 Rubi and with 35's it will go anywhere easily. A well built JK will outperform just about anything in the rocks but I love the handling and comfort of my 15 4R. Of course as soon as the temperature hits 60+ degree the top and the doors come of the jeep and I...

    Wheel advice

Have you decided what tires you are going with on the Octanes? I have a 15 LE and am trying to decide on wheels and tires. I have had the Octanes on my jeep for a few years now and they are still great except for some rock rash. Would definitely consider running them on the 4R as well. Never...

    Smittybuilt or Staun deflators

The Stauns are better but the Smitty's do work. I have Stauns and my buddy has the Smitty's and he struggles with getting his tires to the correct pressure but the good news is the Smitty's have an awesome howling noise so it's entertaining. I set my Stauns to 12 pounds for the 35's on the jeep...

Thanks everyone, we just got back from a 2000+ mile camping trip through Salmon ID up to northern Washington and then back through Hood River and the new 4Runner did great pulling the camper.

    2014 Wrangler Unlimited vs 4Runner

No hurt feelings here, I have already said it I think we have the best of both worlds now that we have the 4Runner and the Jeep. I believe in using a vehicle for its intended purpose but if I didn't I might not have the jeep since its not the best daily driver. I do stand by my comment that the...

Let's see your Travel Trailer Combo's

Rpod hooked up and ready for the first trip. Thank you to Greedy for answering all of my questions about pulling the Pod with the 4Runner.

    2014 Wrangler Unlimited vs 4Runner

Phoenix have you actually driven a JKU? The ride is comfortable even with them modded out ( not as comfortable as the 4R), the newer ones get 17-20 MPG, and I personally know they will get more than 60k since my 12 has 62 on the clock. Those miles have roughly been 70% highway and the only...

That color is awesome! Started our search down in SLC but the staff at Bountiful were great and since we are in Farmington service is a lot easier now.

    2014 Wrangler Unlimited vs 4Runner

We have both now and like Rednroll mentioned they really shouldn't be compared to one another since they are two different types of vehicles. The jeep is awesome for its main purpose which is serious off-roading and top/door off driving. The 4Runner is a fantastic all around SUV that is very...

Let's see your Travel Trailer Combo's

It's great to see someone pulling an Rpod with a 4Runner. We have had our Rpod for a little over a year now but just picked up the 4Runner so our first trip out will be next week. Do you use mirror extensions or are the stock mirrors enough to look around the Pod?

Never going to happen. We take the jeep through trails the 4Runner wouldn't like. I feel like we have the best of both worlds now since the 4Runner is so comfortable and can do the expedition trails that we like to do and the jeep can do the trails it was designed for.

Thanks for the comments, sorry for the delayed response we were in Ouray for our annual jeep get together.

Wanted to say hello and introduce myself. We picked up a 15 limited a few days ago and can't wait to spend more time driving and modding it. Since we have a built Rubicon that's a blast to drive and offroad it's going to be tough to decide which one to drive. On the show room floor - . Next...
