    4Runner snow mode - tips?

Driveway I have a very simular drivway, here in the mtns of NC. I put Revos on my 04 V8 sport, after about 10k mi on the Dunlops, and have never looked back. I now have 26k on the Revos with little discernable wear. I commonly go up the drive in 4hi, center diff locked, in up to 8" of...

    Revos vs. Snow Tires?

I posted this in another discussion:"I put a set of Revo's on my 4Runner about 20k miles ago, and never looked back. I had a set of X Terr. on the ML430 I had before the 4Runner, and they were pretty good in the snow. The combination of the 4Runner and the Revo's is awesome. Last winter, I made...

    Revos vs. Cross-Terrains

I put a set of Revo's on my 4Runner about 20k miles ago, and never looked back. I had a set of X Terr. on the ML430 I had before the 4Runner, and they were pretty good in the snow. The combination of the 4Runner and the Revo's is awesome. Last winter, I made it up 10" of unplowed snow, on my...

Best snow tire for 04 T4R

I ditched the Dunlops at 12k miles, for a set of Revos. I went thru the winter last year here in the mtns of western NC, and they never missed a step. I have a very steep driveway, and I've gone up it with 10" of new snow, and never spun a tire. The only accomodation I made was to lock the...

    Zaino results are in...

Did you get the spray on gloss enhancer? I do the whole Zaino Bros. bit on my T4R, at least every 9 mo's., and use the gloss enhancer, easy detailer in between. Great products. :p

Revo's compared to Michelin Cross Terrain's

I had X ter. on a MB ML430, that I got rid of last year; they were good tires in the snow, but would spin sometimes going up my steep drive. I have Revo's on my V8 4Runner, and they are vastly superior ( or the truck is, or both), they have yet to spin once in the snow on my drive. :driving:

Poll: Change in the Forum (PLEASE VOTE)

I don't know if this is all an April fool's day thing or not, but I will say that after 5 years with a ML 430, I've had enough of MB products to last me a lifetime - never again!!! If all this is a valid thing, and you guys want to listen to the bleatings of unhappy MB owners, then the worst it...

    Confessions of a car salesman

I bought my 4Runner from Toyota of Boone, NC. I've known the sales mgr for years. He ordered exactly what I wanted (a V8, 4x4, sport, with side air bags, and no sunroof) for invoice plus $600. I've had other dealers tell me there is no way they could get that specific vehicle. I probably...

    car and driver?

I bought the V8 4wd Sport edition, since I wanted the Xrias system on the shocks. I looked at all the SUV's they tested, and a lot of others. My main criterea was, did it have the ability to climb my steep driveway in up to 7" of snow (more than that, I have it plowed). The 4Runner and the LC...

Firefox doesn't work as well as IE explorer on this software

FIREFOX I've noticed that whenever I use IE (rarely) I then have to do a cleanup with "No Adware" to get rid of cookies, spyware and other parisite software. Never happens with Firefox

    Dueler A/T REVO

I got rid of the Dunlops at 10K miles, and installed OEM size Revos. I live in an area that gets a fair amount of snow, and believe me you don't want to go into a snowy winter with the Dunlops. So far the Revos have not effected MPG, and they afre very secure in the wet (no snow yet).:D
