Tried it again... as usual, the to-be-programmed remote gave the two cycles. I just re-did the lock/unlock then lock sequence on the remote again... (two cycles)... again... (two cycles) and again (one cycle). One cycle ???? Yes, 4 times, same remote, over and over. Eventually it "took"...
Should have more accurately noted that I can get THROUGH step #5. When proceeding through step #6, step "b", the locks are supposed to cycle once. They cycle twice.
Argh.
Still... doesn't work
Replaced batteries in two remotes.
Followed instructions e-x-a-c-t-l-y. Does not program.
Variations tried:
- ignition on/off 1 time, 2 times, 5 times.
If all instances I can get to step #5.
However, in step 6b the locks cycle twice (x2). Not x0 or x1. Only...
