If you have a volt meter, find the wiring print for your 4runner and start looking for where you are loosing the voltage, it sounds like there might be a loose connection in the harness in your tail light assembly

Thanks guys, I was under the 4runner the oth day and did notice the pumps and figured thats what they were for. So another question I have then is how does this work with the rear air suspension?
