@ Pop If that doesn't fix it for you, check you TPS. Mine is so out of whack. I turned it all the way down, and it's still metering to twice what it ought to be. It's a lot simpler and cheaper to replace, plus it will take you about 20 minutes to check.

Surprisingly I've heard this solution a few times. I will make sure, but I am pretty sure my coolant is full whenever it does it. I take it you're talking about within the radiator itself, and not in the reservior?

Thanks for the heads up. The only thing is that my friend as a '94 with the V6 and it does the same thing, and his head gasket was replaced two weeks ago. Does yours still do it?

Could you explain a little bit more? Do you know exactly what they replaced? I'm not familiar with what a baffle is specifically. I've heard of dirty throttle bodies causing this.

I have a question about your problem. Does it idle that way when the engine is cold and hot, only cold, or only hot? Does it seem to be a particular type of driving, like city verses highway? I'm having a similar problem, but it's intermitten.

Of course check the coolant. One thing my dad has always said in this situation, is to check your ground wires. When you start having electrical problems the easiest thing to do is to check all of your grounds and then check all electrical connections. See what that does. How was the 4Runner...
