Agreed, you should swap the ballasts or bulbs from side to side. If the issue moves to the other side, it's the component you moved. If the issue stays in place, it's the component you did not move. Bummer the kit was purchase from eBay. Hope the seller takes care of you. I have had 0 issues...

Michael, I have an ARB Dual Compressor Wired to an AOB switch, so let me know if you need photos of any of the wiring. Mine works perfectly.

Wouldn't it be easier/safer to purchase a high quality waterproof extension to your trailer wiring than hack up the OEM plug? I personally like the location and can't think of anything better for the 4Runner.
