Is it safe to say that no one trusts their in-vehicle navigation and its ability to be updated as sufficient for offroading? I just bought new TEP and have no clue as to how important GPS is when youre hitting a known trail.

Take your 4Runner off pavement. Offroading, trail riding, wheeling, overland, or any of the other terms I hear on this forum. I'm a newb to all of it (and to 4runners) so apologies if I use an odd term.

I'm planning on driving my '16 TEP to BHC for a holiday next month and was wondering if there'd be any light trails to get off road for the first time. Sounds like Christmas Tree Pass might be a good one. Any other suggestions? It'd be my wife and I, solo vehicle.

Contra Costa here. Where do you ride? I'm a month in with my '16 TEP and probably have about 3 miles of non-asphalt driving sofar. :(
