I just had some Centric rotors and Akebono pads installed. So far, so good.

Changed the air filter and cabin air filter on my son's T4R this morning. Cycled the 4wd knob several times too.

I'm guessing an issue with the master brake cylinder? Had it happen on my Lexus LS430 a while back.

Installed new NGK Iridium plugs, installed new pcv valve, changed rear/front diff fluid, changed transfer case fluid. Ok, I actually stood there while my buddy (a mercedes tech) did it all. It's amazing to watch him dig in. Slipped him $250 ca$h for his trouble.

I got a referral to this great engine replacement shop in NC via my mechanic. Try google and plug in your area and "engine replacement". I was pricing an engine swap on a '95 with blown head gasket, etc.

For $4900 you could likely get a remanufactured engine with warranty. I priced one for a '95 T4R and it was just below the $4900 mark. I'm in outside sales too....I feel your pain. The vehicle IS our office.

I guess I got about a year out of my last set of PIAA's. I do clean the blades w/ alcohol wipes on occasion though.

I'm a big fan of the PIAA Super Silicone wiper blades. Autoanything has them, tirerack has 'em, etc....

I'm in the market for a 3rd Gen T4R. What would be the maximum mileage you'd consider? This won't be a daily driver, just for weekends, etc.

Does anyone use a fuel stabilizer on 4Runners that only see weekend action? I'm looking at getting a weekend-only 4Runner (3rd Gen) after the first of the year. Should I be concerned if it won't be my daily driver??

I'd keep it for as long as it serves you well. Enjoy not having a payment for a while. I drive 60+k miles annually as a sales rep. Jap cars are made for the hyper-miles. Go for it. Lex
