Looking for a locker to put in the front of my '97. I want something that you can switch off and on, without having to give up any arms or legs to get it. Any ideas?

Your frame doesn't look to bad. I used a needle gun, wire rope wheel and hammer to remove all the rust scale on mine. Then used Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer to cover it, either brush on or spray. Much cheaper then POR 15 or equivalent products, and is just as effective. Then covered it w/...

Ya its a done deal anyhow, tires on Monday, should have gears by Wednesday, should be trying both by next weekend. Provided that i get my new coils installed before then. Had already purchased all this crap before writing the post, just wanted to see if i was heading in the right direction...

This is the first Auto trans Yota i've owned, also the first w/ a V6. I have done quite a bit of research gearing, and the proper gears to run. Honestly these posts were the first i've seen that say not to gear it. All the other Toyota's I've owned w/ oversized tires, could smell a hill coming...

4.88 and 33's Thanks for the input! As far as the tire choice goes....That size, 255/85/16 only is made by a few manufactures that i know of. BfG, Cooper, Maxxis, Toyo, Interco???? Anyone ever try the Cooper Discovery ST's?

I am looking to put 255/85/16 Bighorns on my 1997 Limited w/ factory elocker. I was thinking of replacing the factory 4.30 gears with 4.88 gears. I have the 3.4 V6 w/ Auto trans. If i do the conversion am i still going to be able to use my elocker, and if not, what would you suggest for a locker...

Little new at this, but what type of mod did you do so that you can engage your locker in any mode?
