I noticed the "THUMP" 50,000 miles ago. It was very intermittent. I took it two shops and no one could tell me what was wrong! It kept getting worse and I was sure I'd have to do a tranny re-build or a new tranny... Thank God I read this forum, because I just greased the nipple...
