Definitely isn't the 4.0 V6. Maybe the 4.0 V6 with a small supercharger but would prefer the 4.6L V8

Obsessing over resale to the point of buying a second car just to commute in is something I can't fathom. If you wanted to have a commuter car then keep a GT500 for weekends I would get it a bit but I don't know what is happening here. OP, are you are worried about putting miles on your 4Runner...

Just drive your 4Runner. Not sure what you're trying to preserve, it is one of the most reliable vehicles in existence and it is built to be used. Trying to preserve resale value is a huge waste of time.

I want many things but my guess is that it is a RAV4 done up kinda like what Subaru did with the XV

Glad to see this, the prices we are having to pay for something as simple as a UCA is absolutely ridiculous.

1) Don't buy blue tinted headlight bulbs, or even Silverstars because they will burn out in a month. Just accept what you have, your headlights are fine. 2) Don't pay for the "engine flush" they offer you at the lube place, it doesn't do anything. 3) Don't bother getting all of your oil...

Spray the spots with a rust converter and get it undercoated. I love these trucks but they desperately need undercoating. If I ever have the means to buy a new one again I will have that done before I take delivery.

Only had experience with 5th gen and 4th gen but I would take my V6 Limited 4th gen over the 5th Limited I owned any day. Way more driveable, puts power to the ground better and interior materials quality is on another level. I still believe the 5th gen was a cost cutting disaster
