    5th Gen winch mount

USOffroad.........where are you? This is exactly what this guy was inquiring about producing for 5th gens. He took requests to gain a consensus on what most wanted for features, acquired the schematics for designing the mounts, and now the it looks like the demand for such a product is rising...

Need some serious help with this, PLEASE?

I'm sorry OP.......I can't help but shake my head when I read this thread. " HELP. I need some serious help with this". My truck gets dirty when I take it off road! Seriously? I think they street sweep the mall parking lots just about every night. Maybe you'd have better luck there. Sorry to...

    Rubicon Trail

I'll be the evil voice of decent here at the risk of being flamed. I took a stock 93 Cherokee, pit 31s on it and Rocky Road sliders, no lockers, lift, skids, bumpers, nothing. With only a high lift and a spare I managed to run the whole trail solo vehicle 4 times, 2 times to Tahoe and then back...

To Mod Or Not To Mod? - '14 TE

Personally, I think the stock Trail is deficient in several areas for actually using it on any "trails". If you idea of "trails " are dirt roads then yes it might be adequate. But I feel an upgrade in contact patch, durability, and traction ( tires )is obviously warranted. I don't feel like...

    TC Lower Link Skids

Jeremy- would that be yes on the Allpros, or the Total Chaos ones, or the Metal Tech version. Forgive me if the answer in right in front of me, Tylenol Nightime Cold has me fogged

    TC Lower Link Skids

After spending hours under my rig looking at things like I was an angry, stubborn, old rock who was being constantly run over, my focus came to these points as the most vulnerable and likely to cause failure left under there. Does anybody know or is using them on 5th gens with KDSS. I also read...

    Help! Lift with KDSS?

My bad, I guess that's why your post was confusing to me. I live in California and I thought you did tax and licensing at the dealer everywhere. Learn something new everyday. For what it's worth I paid $37600 OTD .....white Trail, only options KDSS and Entune. Didn't want the Entune but...

    Help! Lift with KDSS?

R 1/14 OP- "Out The Door " means what you pay in full. It makes no sense to say "OTD before tax and licensing" .

    Help me build my 4Runner...

I'm sorry if my tone sounded gruff....I'm just used to being more direct than diplomatic in everyday life. I just meant to have fun with it, learn about different options, build it how you want it. And you did ask a lot of seperate questions in one post: What rack should I get? - what suspension...

    Help me build my 4Runner...

"Please let me know if I need anything else" You need to read........and then read some more. Do some research, read a ton of long threads, compare options, ask a specific question here and there, make choices. And then read some more. Seriously, you ask 10 people how to build your rig and...

    Alternative winch mount bumper design

Tacos? I'll have to look more carefully at the schematics you posted. Are the mounting close or the same on the new 4runners? Forgive my ignorance. But I will add that proto is looking tight so far. :hungry:

Is BudBuilt customer service is slipping? Bad experience

Well, I ordered some full tread bump out sliders from Bud Built, and after reading that they would ship out with approx 2 weeks, I was pleasantly surprised hen I got a ship notice and tracking # the same afternoon. So I ordered a full set of skids that night, got my ship notice and tracking #s...

What's everyone using for storage boxes in their T4R?

I use one of the Plano XXL boxes ( plain black) . It has 4 latches and tie down mounts on both ends. I use ratchet straps to the cargo tie down rings so it basically becomes part of the truck. Rolled before and bungees don't. really do a lot for keeping heavier things in place.
