I have the strongarms, and x2 they work great with my ladder.

I highly doubt they wont go Body on Frame. It makes no sense to have yet ANOTHER crossover in their lineup, when the 4Runner sells so well for what it is. Hybrid is definitely a possibility but not body on frame I would say is not something they're planning on doing. Just my two cents.

The trucks are built solid for their age, but safety has become a priority for most companies especially since 2010+. If it is your main concern, I would consider a different/newer vehicle.

You could try to look around for other places. Even if they're a bit further out. I've been quoted 100-200$ (CAD) which is like, 60-140$ USD for the job from various different places. The average on the forum seemed to be about 300 or so, which is still half of what you've been quoted.

I had the same issue as well, the superflex gave me some serious rake so I went with the spacers and they pretty much solved my problems. It still has a little forward rake, but a lot better looking.
