    6th gen 3.5L 4runner in 2022/ 2023?

I highly doubt they wont go Body on Frame. It makes no sense to have yet ANOTHER crossover in their lineup, when the 4Runner sells so well for what it is. Hybrid is definitely a possibility but not body on frame I would say is not something they're planning on doing. Just my two cents.

Current Generation 4Runner Crash Test Question

The trucks are built solid for their age, but safety has become a priority for most companies especially since 2010+. If it is your main concern, I would consider a different/newer vehicle.

    LED pods in headlights?

I considered doing the same when I did my retrofit - however, it would probably not pass safety if i ever needed to get one done, and if I get pulled over it would be way too obvious my lights have had work done to them. the retrofit route with regular projectors looks a lot cleaner and attracts...

3D Printed Fog Light Filler Plate for Rigid D2

Damn I saw this thread come up and I thought it was a new unveil, but 2016! I'd love this so very much!

06-09 LED headlight bulbs. MUST TRY list

The condensation could be a result of the LEDs not putting out as much heat as an HID bulb, causing the inside of the lens to be a different temperature than its used to. I've seen this on some other cars I've installed LEDs in as well, almost a few days later they start to condensate if the...

    Another sunroof rattle noise

If its coming from the passenger side headliner, it could very well be the vanity mirror. It vibrates if hitting against the roof. If you pull it down slightly, the vibration may stop and this could confirm this possible scenerio. There was a mention of the wires inside the mirror being loose...

What did you do with your 4runner today?

Added Headunit Finally, no more using a cassette adapter to listen to music! Pioneer NEX-4200. Installed the HDMI and the USB in the glove box compartment, nice and clean! <blockquote class="imgur-embed-pub" lang="en" data-id="a/Op1aLAL"><a...

    Rear wiper motor stud broken

I did it with a friend and it took about 2 hours, it was really really easy. You just take the rear panel off the hatch, rip a hole in the plastic sheet and remove (3?) bolts IIRC. When installing the new one, make sure to add some antiseize on the thread and install the arm so you wont have...

    Dusty’s 4Runner Picture Thread

You could try to look around for other places. Even if they're a bit further out. I've been quoted 100-200$ (CAD) which is like, 60-140$ USD for the job from various different places. The average on the forum seemed to be about 300 or so, which is still half of what you've been quoted.

    Dusty’s 4Runner Picture Thread

Can't speak on Dustys behalf but I did the daystar level kit and noticed 0 differences in MPG. Also, 699 to get it done is ridiculous, especially if its USD. It's a relatively simple job to do yourself, theres actually a video on youtube with the same truck explaining the process with good...

Restoring shine due to compound use on a Scratch

I would try meguiars m205 polish with a DA polisher before letting a professional at it, might alleviate the issue.

    Blacking Out TailLights

I had done this a year or two ago before I removed it - if you have an 03-05, the pink lights will turn a nice reddish about 2 coats in. I've done 3, and any more than 3 (including 3 depending on how heavy the coats are) starts to look ricey and becomes a safety issue, especially without LED...

Superflex rears look higher than most on here. What do you think?

I had the same issue as well, the superflex gave me some serious rake so I went with the spacers and they pretty much solved my problems. It still has a little forward rake, but a lot better looking.
