    Coolant flush?

Thanks folks! I located the drivers side drain thanks to that older thread, and mine appears to be a valve before they changed it to a bolt. Having trouble locating the passenger side though, as that thread doesn’t seem to mention it. Might you describe where I should be looking? I’ll just do...

    Coolant flush?

my 2011 just clocked over 100k, and I figure I'd try to save a few bucks by replacing the coolant myself (which I've never done, either on the t4r or any vehicle). Thought I was all set to do a coolant flush using distilled water after watching some generic youtube videos that seemed nice and...

5th Gen Fobs (both) wouldn't lock/unlock... but panic worked?

**mysteriously solved, but still curious....** Last week, my keyless entry stopped locking/unlocking, and I thought the red light on the fob seemed to be a little dim, so I replaced the battery. It worked again for about a week, then suddenly it stopped locking/unlocking again. Red light on fob...

    AT Tires

To follow up with your Open Country Extreme post, here's a picture of my P265's... note how the sidewall pattern is much less 'luggy'. I'd say its almost entirely cosmetic, as they barely protrude. I do love the look, and are only a pound or two heavier than the factory tires, so I haven't...

Question | Bilstein 5100's for leveling

Looks that way to me. If you extend an imaginary line long rocker to the wheels, it looks like it would hit a bit higher on the front hub than on the rear.

Question | Bilstein 5100's for leveling

yeah, its 1.5" (2" was a misprint, thanks for catching it!)... the photo shows the stock dunlops, I've since replaced them with the AT2's

Question | Bilstein 5100's for leveling

When I lifted mine, I did the fronts first, and while the rear was still stock, it definitely had a reverse rake when looking at the rockers. the fender clearance, however, was essentially even. This was using the 1.75" setting, so without a rear lift, I think you'll definitely do best with the...

Is modding worth it for a 98% city driver?

See the images in my post two posts above yours. The 5100's are only adjustable up front,, and the choices are 0, .85", 1.75", and 2.5".... so to lift the rears, you need a spring spacer. the 1.75" setting up front with a 1.5" spacer in the rear left my truck with a similar rake as stock...

put this images of my lift results together for someone looking for information on "leveling" the 4runner, and thought it might be helpful in this thread as well. The red line is drawn between wheel centers, and helps visualize how much rake there is....

Is modding worth it for a 98% city driver?

superbriteleds I think it was? I too hate destroying my night vision when I open a cardoor. perhaps this image will help as well. the red line is drawn between wheel centers to better demonstrate what is/isn't level... also worth noting, there is no 1.5" setting on the bilsteins. 0, .85, 1.75...
