I bought preventative a couple of those cheap 20 bucks devices that Scott Kilmer was talking about from amazon.. will mount them up and see if they work. I also had a couple of simpler ones in my garage for more than 7 years now.. and so far no mouses under the hood. Who knows if that worked...

Ah, found the issue.. the original post has "file/d/" in the url. That does not work anymore, not for me. But replacing it with "u/0/uc?id=" this worked. THanks!
