    Ebay find

It's from PA but the undercarriage has no rust and looks like it's from the south. The PO must've never taken it out in the snow.

    anyone in the baltimore area

It doesn't sound like it's running, so I'd pass if you're too far to even look at it.

Look in FL, we've got plenty of rust free V6 4x2s.

There is no emissions testing in FL, but I do like breathing clean air and would maintain the exhaust system. I have a bad feeling the catalytic converters are what's causing the CEL, and from what I read, it can cost over $2,000 for OEM replacements. Doing a quick search, I don't think cats...

I saw your pics, the body and paint look pretty good, and it's a 5 speed too. You got a good deal! The current owner has only had it since 07 and he hasn't changed it so it probably hasn't been changed. There's no sticker on the timing cover. From what I've read, a lot of people have gone...

Definitely not, but I can't find a non-rusty one like that period, which is why I'm not 100% decided. You said that your rust was slightly worse - is it just the undercarriage components (suspension, axles, etc.) or did it spread to the frame and body too?

Oh I thought you were going to say if it was a good deal or not. Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that I was 100% decided against buying it.

I won't have to apply oils on the undercarriage here in central FL (I read Fluid Film works pretty well though). If I was to get it, instead of making regular applications, I'd rather just POR-15 it all and be done. When I lived up north I bought a Jeep Scrambler from the south with hardly any...

Fireball, you're probably right. I've worked with less rust in the past and it's a pain. The bright side is I'm in FL so the rust wouldn't get any worse and whatever rust repair I do would last. jsmarine, the biggest limiting factor is that I want a manual. I like everything else about this...

Hey all, this is my first post. I’m looking at a 1999 SR5 V6 4x4 manual. It has 95K miles on it and the exterior and interior look clean in pictures. AutoCheck says its clean. It’s in FL, but it’s been in the north most it’s life and the underbody is very rusty, and that is my biggest...
