Has this happened to anyone else after upgrading tires / lift -- the VSC kicks in on the pedal when turning or accelerating quickly on slight turns. Is there are way to turn this off? I think it's the traction / stability control system not used to the taller tires. Am I correct with this...

When you say 3500# are you talking about Dry Weight? Or talking about incl water tank full + luggage.

Ive had this problem on my 2014 as well. I opened the whole hatch, checked for all points of failure, couldn't find anything out of the ordinary. I will eventually call it a loss and buy & install a completely new set up, including a front camera.

EXACTLY. To rent a 4runner is going to cost heaps more than any other vehicle in the fleet. People that afford them aren't going to drive them like some maniac that rents a Kia sport sedan.
