I have to agree with the others, you have now opened a can of worms here. Keep us posted on this because it is most definately a warranty issue. Never heard of any Toyota (especially new) having such mechanical issues...

I owned a 3rd generation for 11 years and have to say it was the best vehicle I owned, I only sold it because I was ready for a new one, so I got a 5th generation. I didn't even consider any other make/model. I also have to say that resale value is very good, so that should speak for itself....

Congrats! I got the same color. Love it :) Is the 3M on the bumper supposed to help protect from rock chips? If so, I might look into that myself...

I'd laugh too..that's funny cause the salesman who sold me mine said that he recently had a customer tell him that XM never turned off his subscription and he had his car for a few years. I'm hoping I luck out like that...LOL

IMO you just can't go wrong with the 4Runner, but then again, you are on the Toyota 4Runner Forum....lol. I got my first one in 2000 and it NEVER steered me wrong, was totally reliable and I would still have it but after 11 years wanted a new one, so I got a 2011 model. I didn't even consider...

I am extremely OCD about my Runner, especially since it's so new. But I was also that way with my 2000 that I had for 11 years. Even the little rock chips that happen on the front bumper bug me...:cry2: Awynt - How'd you get all those scratches???

I think the TE is harder to find, maybe that's why they don't want to move on the price. I haven't seen one on the road in my area yet.
