Interesting, I recently decided to sell my '12 Trail - was looking to take my equity and get a used Land Cruiser or Lexus Lx 470. Just listed it in the Classifieds section. I never have driven the LX 470 but have heard a lot of great reviews!

Have had these AT2 tires for about 10,000 miles. For me they fit the bill - 98% on road 2% off road. They drive well on roads, and so far have been good off road. Since some of the treads are close together it does retain small rocks and such when going off road. Here are some pictures.
