I have a 2012. Book says 6 qt without filter and 6.6 with filter. Done all my oil changes at 6.5 with filter and never had a problem. The tube splashes so it shows above the full line. I have over 100K on the car, plan on sticking with 6.5 for the next 250K and then I'll call it a day.

2012 original owner. replaced front and rear pads and rotors at the same time at 75k miles. All wore out evenly.

If you tow regularly, every 50K If no tow, never.

SST4r, would I need to clamp the flexible line before the disconnect in order to prevent any brake fluid leaking?

Sky, not for the 5th gen. It works only with a soft line, but the 5th gen has a hard line which must be dealt with without bending it during the attempted removal of the shoe.

Question: how do you remove the front calipers since they are connected to rigid metallic lines? I am trying to remove them in order to replace the rotors. Thanks.

I am trying to replace the front rotors but the calipers are connected with rigid metallic hoses to the brake line. These hoses are further attached to a metallic bracket. How do you remove the calipers in order to pull out the rotors? Searched all over the net but couldn't find any videos on...
