Did you ever solve your issue with the rough starts? I am have the same exact problems & so far fuel regulator, injectors & MAF have not fixed my issue.

I have the same code on my son’s 2002. It is intermittent, but seems to come on after climbing long steep hills or mountain passes. I usually clear it and drive on. But, as you’ve said, it shifts fine. Torque converter is fine, no noise etc. I did notice a little too much heat on my drinks...

I am installing a transmission cooler tomorrow! My symptoms are P0770(shift solenoid) code after climbing steep hills. Also notice any drinks in the cup holder will get warm at the bottom. My theory is the tranny throws the code after getting hot on the hills. Hope the tranny cooler fixes my...

Picked up this 2002 SR5 with 161k in January 2021. Paid $4900 and previous owner did WP/TB new wheels tires, bumpers, radiator, shocks/springs & installed back up camera. :whoo:
