Go with Bud Built skids. As stated by others those skids you posted are just for looks. Nice rig BTW.

I don't see how that can be considered as attractive. Personally, it's an utter waste of money. I would've spent my $$$ on some ICON's or SAW's and a nice SW bumper. I guess...to each it's own. It's just wrong :confused:

No reason to be afraid. Just be smart when driving and don't be reckless. Trust me I can't do anything hardcore...just your average trails... Some of the trails I've done in So Cal are Anza Borrego, Ocotillo Wells, Fish Creek, Big Bear (service roads), and Mojave Road.

Not having a 4x4 never stopped me before..:D I have a 4x2 and I've taken mine on some trails.

I personally don't care for the chrome as much but I want to see some BFG ATs or MUDs on those rims...I think it'll look aggressive. Not my cup of tea as far as mods but it's still a runner and runner's look good to me :D

Classic Fail! Not because it's a Heep but because the driver didn't check out the crossing first prior to driving through. I think it's common sense to check water depth prior to crossing. Additionally, that Heep is completely stock with no lift whatsoever :confused: I wouldn't have taken...

Thanks for the tip on this! Going to try and do this over the weekend...after a few trips dirt road, your lights don't appear as clear as they used to be.

So I got back from my Mojave trip on Monday and I must say this under $200 rack actually worked better than expected. I know I said that I was going to only add my water and gas tanks up top but I actually loaded all my camping gear up top as well. It handled well on the freeway, whoops...

So...drove on the freeway and holy crap the roof rack is noisy...time to make some wind deflectors with some acrylic pieces. Do the Yakima LW and the Thule have a lot of wind noise?
