No the pilot one is all chrome but glows amber. LEDs would be ideal. I did LED bulbs in my DRL's with an inline ebay P-N-P resistor type thing. They have been fine. But it was like 50 bucks with bulbs/resistor harness etc.

There is one from pilot that is decent. silver coating and amber light. Darker than stock amber but still amber. I got some off amazon a while back. 20 bucks or so. Also you can tint stock bulbs with high temp sliver paint. Very light coat....basically a misting. Doesnt work on DRL's or...

After further consideration maybe the two seperate part numbers for the harness are needed: Not sure how it is configured but the bends might need to be different directions for each side. Driver side would bend in the the left...passenger side the right...etc. Not sure.

Well.....so much for my theory of plugging and playing. So it looks like we need the 81555/81565 harness. Not sure which number of those two it is:

Physically they will fit. The question is more in regard to the connections. Personally I think they will plug right in with zero modifications. As others and I have said before Toyota is too smart to require a change of a wiring harness or even add a strep in assembly if they dont have to...

All i was asking him to do was remove the plastic access door and look at the connections. He was more than willing to as he has a 2011 and was interested in the swap as well.

had a guy do this at the dealer but the two 14's he had on the lot were already gone when he went to look. This was Earl Stewart Toyota.

good stuff. was talking to a parts guy as you posted this. If you look back at the first page and the pics of the back of the lights....it looks like that subharness is IN the light. There is one plug on the truck side for both the 10 and the 14. It looks like there is one plug on the new...

650 was too much.....459 is doable. Calling my stealer now and seeing about availablity and if they will match price.

the stealer i talked to had three different part numbers on his parts list so that leads me to think that there are differences......But i cant find a visible difference in any pictures.
