Help: Are my suspension parts leaking or did I run over something?

That's grease from your CV joint. Judging by the looks of it, the boot doesn't look compromised. Since you lifted recently, the CV angle is increased, as such it's common for some grease to get pushed out. You could try a new clamp on the small end of the CV boot, but honestly, I ran mine...

V6 noisy at high RPM. Exhaust manifold leak?

Check your y pipe. Very common to leak there and typically sounds mostly normal at low load/RPMs, but gets louder with loud and higher RPMs

    Post your garage/man cave

I recently bought a house (2/19) and the garage was my first project Garage mods: Epoxied the floors (Heavily prepped before applying; degreased, acid etched) Installed an on wall opener (Highly recommended; quiet, more overhead space, gonna need it for an upcoming mod (keep reading)) LED...

    Alternator Voltage Question

That sounds about right as far as voltages go. Because you're running an AGM, I'd consider adding the GM diode where the alt-s fuse is to up charging voltage a bit as a fully charged AGM is 12.8-12.9 and a fully charged LA is 12.65. 13.2 volts might not provide the delta needed to keep an AGM...

LS-swapped 4th gen? Has it been done?

Replacing an A750 with a transmission that has a horrendous track record in regards to reliability hardly seems like a logical solution. A 4l80 or any 80/90 series, yes. Any 60 or 65 series, absolutely not, they're garbage.

    Mysterious noise on braking...

Step 1: Locate the side the noise is coming from Step 2: Pull the wheel, pad retaining pins, and pads Step 3: Apply a high temp silicone or urea lube to pads where the piston contacts, retaining pins, AND the edges of the pad where it slides into the caliper. Step 4: reassemble, test drive...

    P0430? What should I do?

You're right, you didn't say "never", you said "only." Which in context of the conversation, means the exact same thing. I believe this proves my point. I'll never understand why some on this forum believe that catalysts don't fail and resort to replacing known good parts as a solution. The...

    P0430? What should I do?

If you listened to me you'd have a vehicle that was fixed properly the first time. Please re-read my post to answer your first question. I didn't recommend anything. I did, however, provide factually accurate statements, my hunch as to what's causing the problem, and information on how to fix...

    P0430? What should I do?

As a master technician with over a decade of experience, this is not necessarily good advice. A clogged cat usually results in sulfur smells and hard starting. If you have neither, it's more likely the catalyst substrate has been used up. Barring no exhaust leaks between the end of the cat...

    idatalink maestro gauges

It appears as if ADS will be implementing "Track Pack" gauges at some point via firmware. 07 4Runner no VSS and Performance Gauges -

    idatalink maestro gauges

Sorry for the confusion, I was using ADS iDatalink's marketing terms. Their definition of "Track Pack" is for the gauges that show performance data (0-60, 1/4 mile, braking, etc...). The other gauges ("Performance Gauges" using their marketing lingo) are for ODB data. I have no problem with...

    idatalink maestro gauges

To all the 4th gen idatalink maestro guys and gals, do your "Track Pack" gauges work (0-60, 1/4 mile, braking, etc.. )? I can't get mine to work so I called in and was told they're not compatible with the T01 harness. Hmmm. My setup: 07 4runner without JBL Pioneer w4400nex T01 harness Maestro RR
