I hear pinging used a lot on the forum. What exactly do you guys mean by pinging? Where do you hear it? I hear my valves rattling sometimes? Is that pinging? It did lessen when I started running mid-grade gas. Would it get any better if I used premium? Is that high of an octane ok for the 3.0?

How can you tell if your cat is clogged? I'm thinking of removing mine, but only if it's clogged up. If it's doing it's job I see no reason to take it off. I have the 3.0 with 177,000 on the clock.

Moog coils are about $75 through Amazon.com. I don't know if there's anywhere cheaper.

I had a problem similar to that on mine. When I was getting my timing belt replaced my mechanic noticed that my thermostat was gutted, thus taking the engine FOREVER to come up to temp and hardly ever going into OD. After that was replaced it came up to temp usually within 5 minutes. A good tune...

Are you sure it's the rear main seal? I thought mine was leaking for a long time but came to find out it's actually the valve cover. Back of the passenger side. The rear main is pretty expensive to repair because they have to drop the tranny. Probably upwards of $400. You could try an oil...

You can get new rear springs from Amazon.com for about $75 or there are a number of different coil spring spacers out there at various price/quality. Not sure about the funky toggle system, but yes, it's normal that you have to lower the rear window and then open the tailgate from the inside...

You can get new Moog springs from Amazon for about $75. Might as well just fix the root of the problem.
