Thanks for the link on the long term solution. I've read it in the past but I haven't had a problem with the clutch since I greased it. My 4runner has 178K miles. Changed the clutch, pressure plate, master and slave out in '12 at about 145K miles so that may be contributing to the pedal...

I had this happen to me. I guess I push the thing too hard. There is a switch which gets pressed when you push the clutch pedal in. It got pushed out of the mount and wouldn't let the car start. Try feeling around and push the switch back into the mount.
