Mine has been like that since day one. We did mention it to the service writer so it would be documented but they didn't seem to care about it.

The T4R is my wife's and I drive a 2007 Tundra with way too many mods...

Our 2010 4runner is on its third windshield already in less than a year. I have USAA and have to pay a full $500 deductible so I've just paid out of pocket. I would definitely have a glass repair company change it out over the dealership. As said above, they are more qualified than a Toyota tech...

The only time I put down a deposit with the dealership was for our t4r also. They took a credit card number from us but never charged the card. They have fees they have to pay to trade vehicles with another dealer and they just want a small deposit for good faith that you are really going to buy...
