I agree with kball. I had the same problem but with cyl 5. I changed the plugs, wires, moved the coil pack around and still had the problem. I replaced the fuel injector and it was gone.

I am at my end on a similar problem. I have 97 4runner that keeps throwing code P0304 even after checking everything from plugs, wires, ignition coil, cam shaft sensor, MAF sensor. I believe it is the fuel injector. I've searched and have not been able to find much information. Any help...
