Westin Ultimate Bull Bar or Safari Bar - please help!

I want to put one of these on my silver 2004 Limited. I've done the searches, looked at the photos, but still can't decide. I know that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, but... One of my concerns is loss of clearance under the vehicle with either of these. Can someone give me specifics...

    I hate mine so far

As for the 2010 seeming to be bigger than the previous generation - it is. A previous poster nailed the reason - the hood is at least five inches taller than the 4th generation. So every time you get behind the wheel, all that extra volume stretches right out in front of you. But apparently...

    factory antifreeze

Great! As stated in my earlier post that's exactly what I did - used a $3 bulb & float tube "antifreeze tester" to check what I believe is a P-G antifreeze mix. So how do I perform an accurate test?

    factory antifreeze

Bobby - sorry, I guess I didn't explain very well. The "heavier duty" mixture the dealer was referring to is a different antifreeze compound and apparently is not compatible with the factory stuff (although they didn't explain further). I asked several times if it was not possible to just...

    factory antifreeze

I promised to post back when I had factual information: The basic problem as noted in my first post was that after checking the factory antifreeze in my '04, the service rep. told me I was protected to only -15 degrees F. Not low enough for Colorado's high country where I intend to hang out...

Thanks for the input. I'll be talking to my dealer today and will post again when I have factual information to report.

    factory antifreeze

Recently had my dealer's service department check the antifreeze in my '04. They said it was good to minus 15 degrees F. That surprised me as this winter I will be driving in an area where -15 is not uncommon. I believe they told me that in order to lower the freeze point of my vehicle's...

Tire pressure dilemma - can you help?

Not knowing what air pressure to run in my new 265/70/17 BFGoodrich TA KO Light Truck tires, the service manager at my local Toyota dealership was kind enough to call Toyota technical support. They stated that the tire pressure listed on the door frame (32 psi. front and back for a 2004 Limited)...

BFG TA KO air pressure advice

In case my experience might prove helpful to someone: Just purchased a new set of BF Goodrich TA KO tires, sized 265/70/17. I wanted the extra strength of 3 ply, light truck tires for occasional off roading. Two reputable tire dealers both told me to run 35 psi in these tires. I called BFG...

Please help me buy my first 4Runner!

In my opinion, going to a dealership to "negotiate a price" with a salesperson is akin to banging your head against a brick wall. Absolutely not necessary unless you like being manipulated, have time to waste, enjoy theatrics, etc. I visit dealerships to test drive only. Once I know exactly...

    Revos in 265/65-17

265/65/17 Revos 4 ply only? Unless I'm mistaken, the Revo tires for 17" wheels are available only in a 4 ply, passenger rated tire. For those of us with off road aspirations, a 6 ply, light truck rated tire would be better. Anyone know if Bridgestone might eventually offer this?

    Midwest Pet Barrier

pet barrier question Would the midwest product be suitable to put immediately behind the second row seats of an '04 model? I have two Australian Shepherds that are determined to be lap dogs whenever we are on the road.
