    Bilstein setting with lift coil

That’s a great explanation and I don’t disagree at all.

    Bilstein setting with lift coil

The 5100s provide a max of 2.5" lift, but they can definitely accommodate at least 3" of lift. One example: the Toytec Ultimate coilovers use 5100s and are 3" lift. I believe many people use these shocks with 3" lifts with no problem. But will definitely make it have less droop and the shock...

    Bilstein setting with lift coil

Agreed.....great explanation. My hunch/belief is that there is no reason you can't use a lift coil in combination with a higher spring perch. New UCAs, diff drop, etc would be a must, and your droop would be reduced. You might also need new lower bump-stops to keep the shock from...

Those Big Bend pics are awesome, man! I've never been either and I talk about wanting to go every year but never go through with it. How was the weather out there this time of year? Did y'all camp out? The 4runner looks awesome out there on the trails as well. You're probably getting used to...

cruise control My #1 complaint with my 2002 is the ridiculous amount of down shifting it does in cruise control. If i control the throttle myself i hardly ever need it to downshift for gentle hills, but the cruise seems to think i need it on every one of them. Its gotten close to red lining a...

    Crowdad Build 2.0

Looks really good, man. Did you measure to see how much actual lift you got? I've always been a fan of a little bit of rake so i think it looks really sweet. And the tires are a great size. How do the Billy's feel compared to the stock shocks?

2003 grey cladding on Sport Edition

Heat Gun I saw this a while back and always wanted to see if it worked. But i don't have a car with plastic panels to try it on. Might be worth doing on a test area. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PQs2ik1dzzE

*Phil the 4th Gen - Rickashays Mild Build Attempt

As always, this one looks really nice, man. The stance is pretty close to perfect in my opinion. I also plan to move up to a 4th gen in the next few months. A good 4x4 with low miles is hard to find in my area. I'm always looking online. Do you mind letting us know how/where you found this one...

    Tire choices in 255/75R17 size

Cooper STT Maxx I dont have real world experience with them YET, but this is what I will be getting when the time comes: https://www.treaddepot.com/#!productDetail/tireStandardFitment/90000019975 I have had the Hankooks and now have the Cooper ATPs. I like the ATPs better between the 2. I'm...

Please help, Vibration only while accelerating.

Yeah, for sure, but the problem I had is that the 2wd 4runners don't come with greasable u-joints (no zerks) for some weird reason. I replaced mine with Moogs that come with zerks.
