If I remember,the screws are fastened to the fender lip with plastic tension nuts.You could use some pliers to hold the plastic fasteners from spinning while getting the screws off.

You have two choices already mentioned,bolt-on's are great if you don't want to commit to weld on sliders. BTW:HB has Demello weld on sliders. Demello Offroad Shrockworks

I thoroughly agree,having rock sliders that stick out discourages inconsiderate people from swinging their door open into yours.If they do,they'll be rewarded with a nice tube shaped dent in their door. :thumb3:
