your 3rd gen has a lot of miles (a lot do), but you have a good engine and trans. what are you restoring? youre in OC so rust isnt a likley issue? i see you mention a paint job, those arent cheap okay i get that, but you bought a used part off ebay...

the kit is cheap enough. just buy a new kit and keep the old bushings as spares or something. why spend all of that money to put used bushings in them, even if they are poly.
poly bushings wear as well. they arent this magical bushing...
does doing the front wheel bearings require a press? i have a press, but i absolutely hate using it. in at 241k and im pretty sure mine are squeaking and are the OG ones as well.
are you welding in long strings/beads? what we do with our mig on parts we think will warp is basically lay one bead at a time if we dont have any jig or fixture to keep from warping. has worked well for us in the past.
