modification of your headlight housing voids it's DOT certification and thus could cause you to fail inspection. Just a warning, but I havent heard of people getting failed for this or anything.

I think it's more a matter of "why not". EVERYONE has ground a starter at some point. We know its horrible and it sounds like it. 4runners can't emit that wonderful sound. also, it does an excellent job of extreme cold starts. I did one at -40, without my block heater plugged in (oops)...

What a huge rip off. Alternators are not complicated, easy to rebuild, and most likely the only part the went "bad" on it is the AC to DC converter... a simple arrangement of chips. I wonder if you can buy the inverter assembly separate from the housing.

Theres a good possibility there was enormous heat buildup. if so there is damage that is less visible to the eye. I have seen rims get warped from the heat. if they feel normal to you, then thats not a problem. its also not good for the grease in the wheel bearings, I would have it repacked...

'04 and up SR5 and Limited Models can have the 3rd row seat option. Sports can't have 3rd rows. and third row seats cannot be retrofitted or added on later.
