Information on winter tires for the 'limited' (on 20" rims) is very scarce still. As some follow-up on the details I gave above, I can provide some 'informal' information. I am a moderately conservative driver (normally have the family in the car, wife gets car-sick if I am 'aggressive', etc.)...

The odds are pretty good that the radiation observed on a new T4R would have been 'donated' by the good old border inspection agencies as the cars get XRayed when they enter the US. That radiation would probably completely overwhelm any radiation from Fukushima. What it boils down to is that...

20" tires.... As it happens I have just put through a request at a local 'good' tire shop, for Bridgestone Blizzaks in 245/60/R20 As far as I know there are two tire choices for winter tires on the limited rims: The Blizzaks, and the Yokahoma Geolander (I think the I/T model - GL I/T G072)...

Saying the truck was 'unstoppable' with the BFG's is not exactly an endorsement for winter tires.... just saying ... :eek: :) As for why a dedicated winter tire is necessary, it comes down to numbers... one of them being $ and the rest being other statistics. Everyone has a different point at...

My 5th came with the plates installed by the dealer. They had used 'sheet-metal' type screws (self-tapping) to mount the front plate, and used their standard 'with advertising' plate holder. I did not like it, and decided to replace the plate holder with a more solid all-metal and chromed...

Here, 'up north', the temperature changes are significant enough to make the nitrogen fill even more useful. Temperature swings from -30 to +5 are not unusual (that's in celcius... what's that in farenheit, about 0 to 40) in a day, and it can change the PSI of the (air filled) tire by a fair...

Heh... how to break things in a hurry..... ... given that you should be learning on something else.... here's a start-point for you. First, it's called a multi-meter for a good reason, it does multiple things.... but, fundamentally, you can ignore half of what you have... So, going clockwise...

It sort of is available.... the base SR5 has sonar. The upgrade SR5 package, and the TE and limited (without Nav) a,, have the backup camera with the image displayed in a section of the rear-view mirror. The Limited edition with Nav has the image displayed on the nav head-unit. mib

My Canadian Limited has no sonar. It is not, and never has been part of the Canadian Limited package. Whatever documentation you have that indicates that the sonar was 'removed' is BS because it was never installed. The back-up camera works much better than sonar anyway. mib
