I have not had a chance to pull the dash apart again. I am hopeful I will have some time this weekend. My plan is to either find a nut attached to the frame in the HU area when I pull it out or run one up the back and down to a spot on the frame near the pedals.

The fit on those mats is amazing, especially with the high sides. I bought a similar set for a Land Rover I used to own. They are great for protecting the carpet underneath but when they get wet (especially in the winter) anything placed on it gets wet since the raised part is not high enough...
